How important is it for you to retain your cultural foods as you move forward in life? Explain the importance and which foods you cannot live without

Cultural Foods play a key role in preserving heritage and expressing identity. Dishes are often deeply intertwined with traditions, customs, and memories. The food I cannot live without is tamales because my mother used to sell them, and since I was little, I went to the neighborhood to give them to people who paid for them. Most of them were people I know: friends, family, and people from our church. Also, it was where most of our family's money came from. I had fun giving them out because I was also getting paid ($5).

What is the most important aspect of your identiy? Tell what it is and why.

The most important aspect of my identity is my long hair. My family members keep their hair long to show their wisdom and life advice. We also keep our hair long to show modesty and pride. It is also part of our traditional clothing. Let me explain: once we get in the old age, we will start to wrap our hair around with a long laying it around like cinnamon roll.

How would you feel if your privacy was invaded online or on your phone? Do you think privacy is a basic civil liberty?

If someone invaded my privacy online I would feel violated or pissed off. The reason why is because they just went or took it without permission. Yes, I think privacy is a basic civil liberty because you do what you want to do. People don't need to know what you do. It is not their life is yours.

Describe what you did over the winter break (use at least 5 words from Vocabulary Lesson 10 in your paragraph)

This whole break I was impecnious to the point I had to ask my brother to help me out with paying. While I was in my cousin's neighborhood some people were imminent each other it was funny to see. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay because my aunt was imperative to leave. I also heard how they were talking to each other the young man was ignoble to what he was saying. There were mothers there telling their kids it was dangerous and that it could impair to their death.

Describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about.

My perfect day to send it with someone is going to the aquarium. Also going to an art museum. Then going shopping with them for hours. Have something to eat and chat. Leave our stuff in the car and go somewhere to see the sunset. Then we are riding home listening to music.

What is your American Dream? What do you like most about America

My American Dream is to own a house, land, and a company. What I like about America is that you can choose where you work. We choose what we want to do and what path we want to take. I also want to help other people with their Dreams as well. My Amercain Dream is not much, I just want to have a normal life like the rest of the people.

Describe a time when someone offended you with their word

My mom called me "useless" because that day was a busy day when people came to cook for the big party. I don't cook so for her to be out in a place where she knows I don't know how to do it is really mean. She pushed me and said it out loud I got pissed off. I was embarrassed because everyone was watching and surprised. I just went upstairs to my room. Didn't go down, I waited for everyone to leave so I could eat.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

A skill that I learned in high school do everything on time and early so you can relax and do whatever you want. Stay focused on your goals and don't procrastinate. Also, high school has taught me if I need money I have to make money by coming to work or selling. To mind your own business don't judge other people who look like they aren't doing anything because that's how I am. Keep your mouth shut.

It's Super Bowl weekend! Some people watch the Super Bowl for football, others for the commercials, and some just for the halftime show. What’s your favorite part of big events like this, and why?

Unfortunately, I don't watch big events like this but I think feel the excitement. Make a bet and buy a good dinner for the family. Spend their night watch and forget about their stress. Is a good thing for people who like that stuff and have fun. For me and my family, we don't watch since we don't find it interesting. I think the Super Bowl commercials are good for making money and can help me have ideas when I want someone to buy something from me.

What do you think are your biggest strengths as a speaker? What challenges do you face when presenting in front of an audience?

My biggest strength as a speaker is not using "uh, um". Also, the level of my voice wasn't too loud or too quiet. The challenge I faced was not keeping eye contact. The eye contact part was the easy part but I read the slides. I was reading the slides that did not help since everyone's presentation was longer and mine was shorter. I just read off my slides.

If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

My poem would be about I don't care about anything. How I'm too lazy to do anything. I feel empty, my eyes are tired. I want to feel free about everything. I want someone to wake me up from this emptiness and sleep.

Describe a time when you had to speak in front of an audience. What were your fears? How did you handle them? What advice would you give to someone struggling with stage fright?

It was in one of my classes that I had to talk to the students about having a nice break and what to do during the break. I was scared about the eyes of the student. I was afraid of people judging me or making fun of me. The way I handled it, I just looked at my friend all fear went away because she was laughing at me. What I would say to other people is to ignore people and look straight.
